1. The cutting edge of Type Ⅰ orthodontic pliers shall be sharp, and Type Ⅱ shall have sufficient strength. The opening and closing movement shall be smooth and flexible without wobbling or jamming. 2. Orthodontic pliers shall be heat-treated with hardness greater than 50 HRC. 3. The surface roughness parameter Ra of orthodontic pliers shall not exceed 0.8 μm. 4. Orthodontic pliers shall possess good corrosion resistance. Slight corrosion marks on the surface after testing shall be removable by wiping. 5. Orthodontic pliers shall have a flat, smooth and symmetrical appearance, free of sharp edges, burrs and cracks. 6. The head width dimension of orthodontic pliers shall meet the specified requirements.
